My 3 year old was going to be prescribed medication, he also hated any sweet medicines and was starting to create a problem. I had experienced the same condition with my older daughter who was prescribed steroids and was unhappy to give the same or similar medication to my son.

Over 20 years ago a nurse in the hospital I worked in told me about the course she was starting in homeopathy, I was intrigued and subsequently while recovering from back surgery I saw a morning course in homeopathy was running locally. I started to dabble a little and while breastfeeding my first child I got mastitis and went to a homeopath for a consult for the first time. She gave me a remedy called Bryonia and within 30 minutes the agonising pain and swelling disappeared. That was my "eureka" moment! Lots of other treatments followed, including successful treatment of horrendous morning sickness and other breastfeeding issues and I decided that I wanted to train as a homeopath. This I did in the Irish School of Homeopathy and I graduated in 2012.

As a homeopath I always take pleasure in seeing and experiencing how well and quickly homeopathy can work, but some examples, especially when they're with people close to my heart, give me even more pleasure.

My eldest teenage boy has the lead in the school musical production of "The King and I" and was seriously struggling with nerves. He mostly turns his nose up at remedies "cos they don't work and it's too much hassle to take them" (though I regularly find him taking a phosphorous when he needs one and caldendula is always on his locker) He asked me could I give him something for the nerves pre the show for the school. I sent him off with the trusty mix of Arg nit and Gelsemium. He came back and told me that "your hippy shit worked" as soon as he took the remedies he calmed down. He took them each time he came off stage and, for the second school show the same. Instant result. Last night was opening night for the public and he felt great about it, though the nerves were still there, he needed 3 or 4 doses of the remedies pre show and went out on that stage and made me an even prouder Mammy.

Another little victory for homeopathy :D

GP sent me for an xray, which showed nothing and electrical testing, which escalated the problem - I started having Bowen, which hugely relieved and improved my symptoms, this led to homeopathy with the same practitioner and the 2 have worked hand in hand with the remarkable insight from my practitioner

it has enabled me to continue working at my profession, it has relieved symptoms that conventional medicine/procedures have failed do, it has given me back hope and renewed my energies, it has enabled me to recommend friends and family - quality of life as improved when hope was lost

I was introduced to homeopathy in naturopathic college. I almost quit school because I thought homeopathy was hogwash, but after a powerful personal experience with a homeopathic remedy, described here previously, I actually became a professional naturopath and mostly homeopath and have been in practice for 23 years now. I have had many dramatic, personal experiences with the power of homeopathy during this time and of course have seen the same with hundreds if not thousands of patients over the years.

I was giving birth to my first child at home in 1998. At the time I ran a clinic out of the first floor of my house and lived on the second. Things were not going well. I was in severe pain, the contractions were almost constant but I was not dilating properly. I could barely move, hated to be touched or spoken to, yet did not want to be left alone. After some hours of this agony, one of my colleagues came upstairs to visit, took one look at me and gave me a remedy. Within about two minutes everything changed! I suddenly felt strong, the terrible pain subsided, I dilated and gave birth easily!

I became interested in homeopathy 30 years or so ago when I discovered how much damage side effects to conventional medicine can do.

The most dramatic incident was when one of my dogs had a severe infection in an already cancerous breast. She was on a drip for 48 hours and I brought her home with very poor prognosis by the vet. I treated her with homeopathy and she recovered to live until a grand old age.

When I was a teenager my mother started using homeopathic medicine and got rid of her migraines. And she used it to get rid of my headaches as well.

I had a horrible allergic reaction to a Hops vine growing outside my house and I looked up a remedy for it and within 20 minutes the torturous itching and hives were gone.
